About

Paul Higgins, JD, LICSW

I provide individual and couples therapy. I work with adults experiencing a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, difficulties coping with life stressors, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and relationship difficulties. I’m licensed in DC, and offer both in-person and virtual sessions. My office is located in downtown DC.

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, my work experience included working as a law firm attorney and serving as an arbitrator and mediator. These prior experiences inform my clinical work and give me insight into the challenges faced by professionals navigating demanding work environments.

I obtained my Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, my law degree from The Catholic University of America, and my undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire.
