Therapeutic Approach

I bring a warm, non-judgmental style to therapy, and work closely with each client to help them gain a deeper understanding of the challenges they are experiencing and discover ways to overcome them. I welcome and am affirming of clients from all backgrounds. My goal is for each client to find a path towards greater meaning, contentment, and connection in their lives.

I tailor my therapeutic approach to the client’s unique needs. My therapeutic approaches include psychodynamic (relational/self-psychology), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), strengths-based, client-centered, humanistic, mindfulness, and attachment-based models. For couples therapy, I also draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy principles.

“The good life is a process, not a state of being.

It is a direction, not a destination.

The direction which constitutes the good life is that which is selected by the total organism, when there is psychological freedom to move in any direction”

- Carl Rogers
